EchoRukia Photo Work

Live Concert Photography A majority of my photography revolves around my live concert images. It started in November 2008 when I began to go to local venues like The Crazy Donkey, back when it still existed, to shoot my first couple of shows lined up of Dance Gavin Dance, Sky Eats Airplane, Senses Fail, Motionless In White, and Foxy Shazam. Most of the bands I have worked with are all underground, or just showing signs they were serious with making a stable spot for themselves in the music industry by starting contact with record labels. I like to be one of the advantages for rising musical artists to go to for clear press work they can trust to represent their true image.

Experimental Nature Photography Before I got involved with making EchoRukia available as a photography business, I spent nearly all of my time outside of classes taking photos of neighborhood gardens around Long Island.
No matter how exciting it is to work with bands I would once only relate to having in my iPod, my true passion is photographing nature in ways not most artists tend to. I love the impression my floral work has made for EchoRukia. Most nature is already so beautiful on its own, it’s almost seen as an easy way to enhance the look of your portfolio even when you’re a careless and talentless photographer. I like to know when my floral work is presented, it shows an emotion and depth; to look at the image and feel like if its photographer had even moved slightly to take the picture from a different angle, the image wouldn’t be anywhere near as good.
